III Saint Petersburg Lymphology Forum with international participation

On October 13–14, Almazov Centre hosted the III Saint Petersburg Lymphology Forum with international participation Lymphology Without Frontiers — a Journey of 400 Years: Challenges and Controversies, Achievements and Discoveries. The Forum was held in hybrid format as part of the program of the WCRC for Personalized Medicine and brought together leading Russian and world experts.

The Forum provided a platform to discuss the importance of the lymphatic system in modern medicine. It was focused on an interdisciplinary approach based on the involvement of specialists from different fields and gave an opportunity for valuable exchange between the leading Russian and foreign peers: lymphologists, phlebologists, oncologists, surgeons, vascular surgeons, angiologists, general practitioners, endocrinologists, rehabilitologists, physiotherapists, exercise therapy specialists and other experts.

The program of the Forum included plenary lectures, breakout sessions, round tables and workshops covering the issues of basic, clinical and experimental lymphology, the impact of the lymphatic system on human health and the development of various diseases, novel approaches and current research in oncology, new technologies in surgery, medical rehabilitation, integration, partnership, innovations in angiology and vascular surgery, multidisciplinary approach in modern lymphology.

  • Controversies in the diagnosis and treatment of lymphedema
  • Lymphedema and lipedema

Accepted abstracts will be published in the supplement to the Journal of Translational Medicine and posted on the website of Almazov Centre.
