4th online meeting of the International Advisory Board
On November 14, the International Advisory Board of the World-Class Research Centre for Personalized Medicine held its fourth online meeting.
Evgeny Shlyakhto, Director General of Almazov Centre, opened the meeting with a welcome speech and a brief overview of achievements made by WCRC in 2023. He emphasized the importance of expert assessment of the WCRC results for further implementation of projects.
The meeting featured the following presentations on research performance of the WCRC for 2023:
- Nikita Artemov spoke about successes in creating a scientific infrastructure for personalized prevention of polygenic diseases among residents of the Russian Federation.
- Vyacheslav Dyachuk spoke about creation and validation of genetically modified model systems for studying the mechanisms of human diseases.
- Sergey Kulemzin presented CD5-specific CAR T and CAR NK cells preclinical evaluation.
At the end of the meeting, Alexander Dmitriev presented the results and prospects of research projects of the WCRC for Personalized Medicine in the field of microbiology and bacterial etiology of diseases.
In their presentations, Russian scientists spoke about the main achievements within each research area, demonstrated the key target indicators and provided an overview of the publications prepared in 2023.
In closing, the members of the Board engaged into a discussion, and international experts asked questions and shared their opinions about the high level of research expertise at the WCRC for Personalized Medicine.
