Leading scientists
Leading scientist is a researcher having at least one article published in Q1 and Q2 journals indexed in international databases in the past 2 years, or at least 1 patent for invention.
In accordance with Presidential Decree No. 204 dated 07.05.2018 "On national goals and strategic objectives of the development of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2024", the targets of the Science national project are to ensure:
- The presence of the Russian Federation among the world’s five leading countries engaged in research and development in priority areas.
- The attractiveness of the Russian Federation as a research location for Russian and foreign leading scientists and young promising researchers.
- An outstripping increase in domestic spending on research and development from all sources compared to the growth of the country's gross domestic product.
Currently, the Centre for Personalized Medicine has more than 50 Russian and foreign scientists who have published articles in Q1 and Q2 journals indexed in Scopus and/or Web of Science Core Collection.
By 2025, the Centre will conduct research and implement projects of over 160 leading scientists, more than half of them being young researchers under 39 years old.
