December 20, 2023: International Workshop on Diagnosis and Theranostics of Malignant Tumours

A one-day International Workshop on Diagnosis and Theranostics of Malignant Tumours was held on 20 December. It was held as part of the programme of the WCRC for Personalized Medicine with support from the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

The workshop included presentations by Russian and foreign experts:

• Daria Ryzhkova, Russia
• Daria Vazhenina Russia
• Anna Ivanova, Russia
• Valery Sinaiko, Belarus

Specialists gave presentations on 68Ga-FAPI-04 PET-CT in the diagnosis of various tumours, spoke about resources and potential of PET-CT technology, possibilities of diagnostics and theranostics of neuroendocrine tumours. Daria Vazhenina shared her personal experience with radionuclide therapy of neuroendocrine tumours and metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer using radiopharmaceuticals containing 225Ac. Issues related to the introduction of innovative radiopharmaceuticals for cancer treatment were also discussed.

At the end of the event, the experts agreed to continue their fruitful cooperation.
