Nutriciology and dietetics for the health of the Russian population

On 13-14 November, Moscow hosted the XVIII All-Russian Congress with international participation themed “Nutritionology and Dietetics for the Health of the Russian Population” dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Dr. Oxana Rotar, Head of the Population Genetics Research Laboratory, WCRC for Personalized Medicine (co-author of Prof. Alexandra Konradi, Deputy Director General for Research), delivered a presentation entitled “Nutritional behavior and vascular aging" at the symposium "The Role of Nutrition in the Treatment and Prevention of Non-Communicable Diseases". She presented a review of the world data on the relationship between dietary patterns and arterial stiffness, as well as own data using the example of people who were starved in the early stages of life and their offspring.
