International Advisory Board established for WCRC

World-Class Research Centre for Personalized Medicine has put international cooperation and outside expertise as its high priorities in order to ensure a high level of research while keeping the pace with the world trends. For this purpose, an International Advisory Board was set up to include the leading scientists from Russia and around the world. It is intended to become a powerful expert platform for assessing strategic areas of research and practical relevance of research results. In addition, it can contribute to transferring the developed technologies to other countries, engaging new international partners for the projects and to the comprehensive development of the WCRC in general.

The International Advisory Board already includes 28 world leading experts in all areas of personalized medicine, including epidemiological genetics, rare diseases, microbiota research, oncology, nervous system diseases, cardiovascular diseases, theranostics and others.

Among foreign members of the Board are Prof. Fausto J. Pinto, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Lisbon (Portugal) and Roberto Ferrari, Emeritus Professor, University of Ferrara (Italy), Past President of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC).

Other prominent members of the Board are Prof. Jeroen J. Bax, FESC, Director of Non-Invasive Imaging, Department of Cardiology at Leiden University Medical Centre (Netherlands), Prof. Petr Widimský, Dean of the 3rd Faculty of Medicine, Head of the Department of Cardiology at Charles University and FNKV (Prague, Czech Republic) and other distinguished scientists.
